RURAL CAMP TO KATUKAPALLI (BADRACHALAM) :

The II year students of M Sc Visual Communication have conducted a Social Awareness Program of Rural Camp during 22-23, September 2016. The objective of the program was to visit rural places and closely observing the lives of village folk. Under this program the students visited a tribal Agency area, Katukapalli situated 40 kilometres from Bhadrachalam, where the students witnessed the lives of Koya, Gutthikoya and Konda Reddy tribes in the vicinities of hills and forest.








FIELD VISIT TO ALL INDIA RADIO(AIR) :

The Department organised Field Visit Program for the students of II year Viscom to All India Radio (AIR) on -----September 2016. The students, as part of their co-curricular program visited AIR to have a better understanding of the studio production and broadcasting technology, visited the AIR studio at Bandar Road, Vijayawad to know the process of preparation and editing of the programmes and also visited the Transmission Centre at Nambur. Faculty members T Raja Kumar and M Elisha conducted the trip.







VISCOM VISION:

         The students of 2 nd year M.Sc visual communication were running the program named “viscom vision” which has been successfully completed till now. Raj kumar, H.O.D of viscom along with John, Elisha lecturers of viscom encouraged students to make it successful.the theme of this program is to visualize the videos of several programs conducted by p.g section under the guidance of Rev. Fr.Rex Angelo SJ.

WORLD STUDENTS DAY :

A.P.J Abdul kalam, ever most famous personality in the world the  greatness of abdul kalam was visualized in the form of 12 feet sand art work by the students of visual communication P.G at the birth date of kalam. Raj kumar H.O.D of viscom , Jhon, Elisha leturers of viscom  suggested students with their ideas and presented it successfully. Rev. Fr. Rex Angelo SJ, vice principle who always supports the students stood first to implement the idea.







PRAGATI OFFSET PRINTERS:

To rise the knowledge of students raj kmar H.O.D of visual communications along with lecturers P.John & Elisha conducted an short meeting with famous pragati offset printers to M.S.C 1ST & 2ND viscom students they enplaned the process of editing & designing which is helpful to the students. Rev. Fr.Rex Angelo has supported the viscom department to more forward with their success.





MEDICAL CAMP PARTICIPATION:

It is said that ‘’health Is wealth” health is not important than wealth this meaning was clearly implemented by Rev. Fr. Rex Angelo SJ, vice principle of A.L.C p.g section by conducting medical camp to entire students of p.g section, doctors of various hospitals checked out the height, weight, fat ect…. Of the students and suggested them to improve their health. Rajkumar, H.O.D of viscom along with co-lecturers and students came forward and succeeded it..

VISCOM TIMES:

The student  of 1st year m.s.c visual communication were successfully running their “viscom times”  [practice joural of visual communication] which is an 4 paper edition.it not only cover the entire news of the college but also the news of enterior the programs was organized  by raj kumar H.O.D of visual communication & lectures john & Elisha under the guidance of Rev. Fr.Rex Angleo SJ.

Swatcha Bharat by PG Viscom

Today the entire India was trying hard to make success the plan of Swatch Bharat program. A part of it Rev. Fr. Rex Angelo S.J vice-principal of P.G Andhra Loyola College came forward by implementing the program of swatch bharat. Students of P.G visual communication stood first by cleaning entire P.G block. Mr.Raj kumar H.O.D of viscom and lecturers Mr.John and Mr.Elisha encouraged the students in the participation and gave an great success to the program.

“It’s time for new innovations” – says Rev Fr Dr Rex Angelo SJ  

    

 







New innovations have to be made and creative thoughts and ideas should blossom from the students, says Rev Fr Dr Rex Angelo SJ on the occasion of World Photography Day observed by the PG Dept of Visual Communication, Andhra Loyola College. As part of the celebrations , the Department conducted ‘Spot Photography’ competition on the theme ‘Beautiful Loyola’. Students of all Departments participated in the program. The event was inaugurated by Rev Fr Dr Rex Angelo SJ accompanied by Mr Sachin Bharadwaj,

a renowned photographer of Vijayawada city. The participants portrayed utmost creative skills in capturing the hidden beauty of Loyola College campus. The PG Vice Principal Fr Dr Rex Angelo delivered keynote address followed by an interactive session with Mr Sachin Bharadwaj about the tips and professional standards of photography. About 50 photographs were shortlisted out of 250 photographs. S Rakhesh, B Sri Harsha, and D Raghunath got 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in the competition. The program was organised by the faculty members Mr Raja Kumar, Mr P. John and Mr M Elisha and the students, while Fr Dr Rex Angelo SJsupervised the programme


Bhavanarayana

The department of visual communication PG organised a guest lecture come interactive program on "Cartoon's " as communication means on 26th august 2015. Dr. S. Bhavanarayana Guinness book of world record holder acted as the resource person for the program. He contributed so much to the cartoon world . The program was attended by the first and second year students of visual communication PG.

PG Department of Visual Communication conducted its Annual Intercollegiate Mobile photography contest-cum-exhibition programme, Mobilelography-15 on Aug 7, 2015. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Fr Dr Rex Angelo and he also delivered the keynote address. Entries from PG and Degree students along with other colleges in the city are shortlisted. About 66 photographs are selected for exhibition which was conducted at the Seminar Hall on 7th August. Students of PG visual communicated made all arrangements and also participated in the competition with other students of the college and other colleges in the city. More than 1500 students witnessed the exhibition. The winners of the competition were given mementos and certificates. Mr Sai Krishna Mutyala (PG Viscom) got the First Prize while Ms Keerthana (MCA student)and Ms Alekhya (Degree Viscom) of ALC, got the second and third prizes respectively. Mr Raja Kumar HOD and faculty members Mr John and Mr M Elisha organized the program. Father Dr A Rex Angelo supervised the program.




Guest Lecture by Mr. K. Karthik                                         


 Andhra Loyola College, PG Department of Visual Communication has conducted a Guest Lecture for the first and second year M.Sc. Visual Communication students on October 21 and October 22, 2013. The Guest Lecture is delivered by Mr. K. Karthik, Lecturer in University Of Hyderabad. The Guest Lecture was divided into four sessions for two days. The Guest Lecture was organized by Mr. T. Raja Kumar H.O.D and Mr. P. John, Lecturer and supported by Rev.Fr. Rex Angelo, SJ, Vice-Principal (PG).
                                The first session is about Introduction to Visual Communication and different dimensions of Visual Communications are discussed. In the second session the lecture was given on International Communication and various aspects of New Media. On the 2nd day i.e. on 22nd October the first session of the lecture was given on Film Genres and Film analysis and the second lecture was given on Television Production.The Guest Lecture was organized to make the students aware of the contemporary trends in Visual Communication and Film making. It was concluded with the guest Mr. K. Karthik giving ideas and suggestions to the students about the career opportunities in different areas for Visual Communication. The Guest Lecture ended with Mr. T. Raja Kumar Head of the Department delivering the vote of thanks to the Guest and to Rev.Fr. Rex Angelo, SJ, Vice-Principal (PG) and to the management of Andhra Loyola College. 










Colorful World

An article about the students of M.Sc. Visual Communication on 11th November, 2013 in eenadu, Vijayawada city edition, on their dreams and achievements and views on the current opportunities in the field of media and journalism. The interviews of students are included.



Students make documentary on Saint Teresa

The Second year students of M Sc Viscom produced a documentary on Mother Teresa on the occasion of the canonization of Mother Theresa during the month of November and December 2016. The Film was released on 10 February in the Gunadalamata Festival 2017.
